
Kevin E. Diggins is a long-time resident from Delaware County, Pennsylvania. His interest in nature and wildlife art began at an early age. After graduating high school, he studied at a commercial art school and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. He met with and was influenced by artists such as Ned Smith, Bob Heintz, Chuck Ripper & local taxidermists. He primarily works on masonite board using oil paints.
He has exhibited his artwork at the Academy of Natural Sciences, Fairmont Park Memorial Hall and the Peale House in Philadelphia, has done commissioned work for the Franklin Mint & PA Game News, and entered shows in Delaware, York & Carbon counties PA, Stone Harbor NJ and Ocean City MD.
Kevin lives in Aston PA with his wife Dawn, has 2 children & 2 grandchildren, and in retirement now is painting more. His interest in nature grows as he studies horticulture, has vegetable & flower gardens and animals. His outdoor activities have included photography, hiking, hunting and fishing. He has spent much of his time studying at Ridley Creek State Park, Tinicum National Environmental Center, upstate Pennsylvania, and trips along the east coast from Florida to Maine and the west coast states of Washington & Montana.
